Classic WW2 Aircraft Radio Coporation 3-6MHz receiver, used by hams the world over for 80 meters, also covers the 5MHz band. These can easily be converted to 12V and run on any HT from 100 to 180v. Built in BFO and remarkably stable, these were state of the art in 1943. This example has had some conversion work done for use as a stand alone receiver: needs only power supply and headphones.
