Hiya good folks 

Name is Kris Thompson - ZL1KJT and are based in the Auckland area. I am struggling to find someone with the old skills to help in my quest to refurbish / restore / repair / re-alignment of some vintage HF kit back to working on all bands if poss.

I have a growing KW electronics collection and want to specifically get my KW 2000 "E" transceiver sorted, It's a BIG ask, but I am prepared to pay someone a resonable amount who will take on the job, as I don't have the skill set or the confindence with all that high voltage under the hood to do some skilled tasteful repairs.

The mechanical filter will need swapping out( modern upgrade) someone with a valve tester to check all  valves and finals ( twin 6146 ) Probs a extensive check/ testing, re- cap and checking specs of resisters as standard, cleaning of mode switches etc, and I'm sure she will need an alignment after. She is currently transmitting around 80w PEP on 20 m and a little less power on 80m dead on top bands not tried on 160m. I have another valve set and KW2000 'B" in my collection that could be used for parts and have full page schematics and alignment manuals for all my collection.
